HSHS Hospice Southern Illinois offers supportive, compassionate care that can bring peace, comfort and dignity to a patient on those last days of life. The goal of our team at HSHS Hospice is to help the patient to be physically, emotionally, and spiritually comfortable, enabling the patient to remain at home as long as possible with minimal disruption to normal activities.
- Provides support and care for those in the last phases of life‑limiting illness.
- Recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living.
- Affirms life and neither hastens nor postpones death.
- Focuses on quality of life for individuals and their family caregivers.
The Everlasting Memories Program allows us to grant wishes to our patients and provide them with an event or day to cherish in their final moments.
This program affirms our mission—”To reveal and embody Christ’s healing love for all people through our high quality Franciscan healthcare ministry.”
To find opportunities for joy; to lift the spirits of those who know the end is near; to provide their families with a space to share their feelings and have a moment to cherish once their loved one is gone. This is why we do what we do!
The Everlasting Memories program is funded by members of the communities we serve, who provide both cash and in-kind donations.
